Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Taopilot handles information in connection with its self-custodial Bittensor wallet app and related read-only data services. This policy applies to off-chain information that we actually receive or control. It does not change the public nature of information recorded on a blockchain or otherwise made public through third-party networks and protocols.
Information We Do Not Collect
Taopilot does not require user accounts. In the ordinary use of the App, we do not collect your name, mailing address, government-issued identification, date of birth, payment card information, private keys, seed phrases, biometric data, or other account registration information. We also do not use the App to collect behavioral analytics, crash reports, advertising identifiers, or similar telemetry about your use of the App.
Public Blockchain Data
When you use wallet features, public wallet addresses, transactions, staking actions, subnet activity, and related blockchain records may be visible on public networks. That information is generally public, immutable, and not controlled by us once published. Even if Taopilot displays or helps you access that information, the underlying onchain record remains public independently of the App.
Public Data Infrastructure and Nodes
Taopilot may use or connect to public nodes, indexers, caches, or other read-only data infrastructure to retrieve public blockchain information more efficiently and to present richer network data. These services are intended to help the App access public information without requiring an account. They do not change the self-custodial nature of the App and are not offered as custodial, brokerage, or identity services.
Support Communications
If you contact us for support or send us feedback, we may receive your email address and any information you choose to include in your message. Please do not send private keys, seed phrases, or other wallet secrets through support channels.
How We Use Limited Information
We use the limited information we receive from support communications to respond to you, troubleshoot issues, review product feedback, protect the Service, and comply with legal obligations. We do not use support communications to build advertising profiles or to track your activity across services.
Third-Party Services
Taopilot may be distributed through third-party app stores and may interact with third-party blockchain networks, public RPC providers, indexers, validators, or other infrastructure. Those third parties operate under their own terms and privacy practices, and we are not responsible for their independent data handling.
Data Retention
We retain support communications and related records only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain security, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Public blockchain data may remain available indefinitely through the relevant network or through third-party services.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect the off-chain information under our control. No system can guarantee absolute security. Because Taopilot is self-custodial, you are responsible for safeguarding your devices, private keys, seed phrases, backups, and other credentials that you control.
International Users
Taopilot may be operated and supported from multiple jurisdictions. If you contact us or otherwise provide off-chain information, that information may be processed in jurisdictions other than your own.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we control, such as support communications. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and some rights are subject to legal exceptions.
Children
The Service is not directed to children, and Taopilot does not knowingly collect personal information from children where prohibited by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the last updated date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after an update becomes effective means the updated policy will apply to your use of the Service.
